You know after hearing that there are many bikes that operate this way I think I will reassemble without springs, since two of them already dont have springs. The only thing that surprises me is that the manual does not make any mention of this. I have a LB80 manual and LB50 and besides some small differences in parts they are nearly identical bikes and neither makes any mention. YAMAHA! Damn Cool Little Bikes With funny Quirks!
