Moped Army

so my maxi has a 12mm bing carb and i've replaced the float and pin that it hinges on. my float still sticks sometimes and i have to bang the side of my carb lightly with a screwdriver to get it to stop sometimes. this especially sucks in the middle of traffic when it pisses people off. do you think this could be my float needle?

also, i am currently running a size 60 jet in my maxi and everything is stock. the bike only hits 25 tops on level ground, do you think i should consider increasing the jet size to like a 62 or something along the lines of that? i plan on derestricting the pipe soon as well.
