Moped Army

So I was cleaning my carb the other day, and when I reassembled it, I noticed that the float bowl was leaking. I'm assuming it has to do with me trying to unsucessfully take off the float, but I'm not exactly sure. Any ideas on what I need to do to fix it? And is there a way I can check to see if I fixed the leak without putting it back onto the moped? Thanks.
