FS: 1981 hobbit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison area
I have this here honda hobbit. Or as they call it in number letter land, PA50.
Its mostly there. Its missing the top plastics and the chain side plastic. Also the turn signals were removed at some point. It still has the switch and presumably the wiring, but the lights themselves are MIA.
I am up here in Madison Wisconsin. I'm like 2 1/2 miles from Chicago and like 1 1/2 hours from Milwaukee.
I'm looking for like $300. I didn't get a title with this one, but I have a title from a hobbit I scrapped if you need one with it.
Its the coral red model 1981. That means it has a 12v lightning system, the long seat, a battery, and most importantly CDI.
Its in pretty good shape except for the stuff its missing. It would be an awesome place to start a build, or just ride it as is. Maybe replace some of the plastics. Or not. Plastic is stupid anyway.
These later models were the best hobbits that made it to the states. You have so many more options for lighting with the 12volts and the battery, plus the CDI. Its also a widely known fact that the fastest best running bikes in south central Wisconsin are or were once owned by me.
In case someone out there cares, I have a proma circuit pipe, a malossi kit, some reeds some jets and some clutch springs laying around. I could put together a pretty bitchin build package for a pretty good price, or for a few dollars more put it together.
If you are into it, let me know. I will get some pics tomorrow.
