Moped Army

I've got a Tomos Targa Moped for sale in jacksonville, Florida. I'm asking $375. It has a new, enhanced Airsal cylinder and piston plus a Biturbo pipe. Parts and service are easily available. Runs great. However, if you want something that goes "at least 35" you don't want a moped. Stock mopeds are made and geared for a max 25-30 mph. That's why most states don't require motorcycle licenses, motorcycle registration fees and other "motorcycle" expenses for mopeds. Mopeds with enhanced engines and pipes can go faster, but the real reasons people enhance their mopeds is to improve "low end" and "hill" accelleration, not to go over 35 mph. If you want something to go over 35 in, you need a scooter or motorcycle, but with them, you'll need a motorcycle license, pay higher registration fees, maybe need insurance, etc. Good luck in your search.
