Jawa design ingenuity.
One of the biggest no-no's for riding a two stroke anything is closing the throttle when going downhill (unless you have an oil injector system)
If you own a Jawa with a Jikov carb, your carburetor shuts off the fuel and lubricant supply when you go downhill!
The float in the Jikov carb is hinged at the rear (on the engine side of the carb) so that when you go downhill a very small amount of gas sloshes forward and closes the needle.
If you own a Jawa with a Jikov carb, now you know why your engine only puts a couple of times when going down long hills.
The question is, how can I fix this? What is needed to convert to a bing carburetor? (and will this do any good?)
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks,
David G.
