moped delivery
as some of you have probably seen, i was selling my moby sebring. The buyer lived in boston, and wanted me to ship the ped, so i charged him $$ to cover shipping expenses. I planned on taking it apart and shipping in several large boxes. when i started gathering materials, i decided that i didn't really trust UPS enough to leave those boxes in there hands, and i didn't want him to receive his new ped all banged up because the UPS guy flipped the box end over end. instead, i decided i would use the $$ for shipping, and personally deliver the bike myself. I woke up at 6am on saturday, and by 8 i had the bike into small enough pieces that i was able to (barely) fit it into the back seat of my small car. me and my gf plugged in the GPS, and made the 6 1/2 hr drive to downtown boston, where i then spend 45 minutes re-assembling the bike on a busy (and cold) sidewalk. once the ped was out of my hands, we found a good place to eat, and left boston around 5, and got back home around 1130.
being my first time in boston, i wish i could have stayed longer... it was really an amazing city, and i don't even consider myself a city person, by any means. All in all it was a fun trip, but i don't think I'd do it again, at least not all in one day.. but how's that for service?
