Moped Army

Dear MA,

I'm Adam out of Tampa Fl, and I just recently (around a year ago) started riding peds. My ped is Shamciao.

My first ped was a ciao, but it was in poor shape, motor destroyed, hole in tank, etc etc. It had been left out a considerable amount of time, only to be picked up by me for $50. It was then given later to a friend of mine after receiving my second (Sham) ciao.



This Ciao was from Ohio, and was shipped by an awesome MA member. I had it assembled and running in around 2 hours out of the box from wence it came.



Ciao was exciting, it was my first running ped. I loved it. It squeaked by at an exhilarating 25mph! Stock wasn't enough, so I went ahead and ordered a Simonini Calibretta, Polini kit, and delorto 13.13. Woo!


But whats this? A broken piston ring? :'(


So it sat for a while, then when I installed the kit, and CDI it ran beautifully! Then died. Would start, and not run for long. Found phillips bit in flywheel. Bad day. Destroyed Woodruff key, destroyed motor. Swapped motor out for a kinetic. Couldn't get it to run for like ever. Then let it sit for a considerable amount of time (6months) Then with matts help got it running after an entire day of struggling. Just in time for the food-lion ride!



Now, here it is getting torn apart, undergoing a complete overhaul!
