(A) Gas fumes are going to be a lot worse than a capped bottle of acetone.
(B) Art students don't need multiple gallons of acetone.
(C) Art students can sneak acetone into the building in their backpacks. Good luck doing that with your moped.
(D) Art students need acetone for school related projects (like, to get their degree). Unless you're in petroleum engineering or something, I doubt you can make a similar claim.
(E) Acetone isn't mixed with a substance that will leave oily stains if it is spilled.
If you're allowed to break the rules by bringing gas inside, why shouldn't other people be allowed to break the rules by having candles and smoking inside? Except oh crap, you've already brought your gas inside. There goes everyone's possessions as the building goes up in flames. You'll be a popular one.
Add this to the long list of reasons why people move off campus.
