Moped Army

My dorm rules explicitly state that we're not allowed to have anything flammable/explosive in our rooms. I could probably get away with storing a can of carb cleaner for a few weeks, but I can't see them letting me drag a whole moped inside. If anything, it wouldn't be the exhaust and the motor that they'd be mad about -- it would be the gas tank. Assuming your university allows motorized vehicles to be parked in the bike rack, that, a hefty lock, and a cover is probably your best bet. Go talk to someone in the parking department (or whoever else is in control of that stuff where you are) and ask them about moped parking to find out where you can park it and what, if any, kind of permit you need. If you're allowed in the bike racks, park there. If you aren't, try it anyway (with a cover) and see what happens. Whatever ticket they might write for you will probably be less than $375.
