Magnum project, complete minus a little tuning

James G (jamesg) — Nov 01, 2009 01:49AM

Cosmetically, though, it's basically done. I may get it professionally painted at some point...the homegrown is ok but could be a little cleaner and a lot more gas-resistant. Need to put a new chain on. Clutch is only about 2/3 of the way tuned, but of course that doesnt change the looks. Flywheel cover not yet installed. Still got a few tabs to chop, was trying to rush and have this ready for True Grits today, but the clutch is just not quite dialed in. It's finished enough to show, though.

Specs:

Ported TCCD 70
TCCD 70 hi-comp head, 2 head gaskets
Motomatic N8P
Unstuffed stuffed DMP crank
Treats cheapo 3-shoe, arms lightened to 58g each, blue springs, custom aluminum clutch brace (thanks Joe!)
Metrakit 21 intake
21 PHBG Race
UNI Pod filter
Tomos 32mm EBR front end
Grimeca front disc, caliper, master cylinder, laced to the original rim
Michelin Gazelle's, obviously
360mm Sebac shocks
Aluminum clip-ons from some place in Singapore (very sweet bars)
Custom suede butt-stop seat (helps to keep from sliding onto the tank when the front brake is applied enthusiastically)
Dog-leg rear brake lever set off a TFR
16x36 gearing (still tuning)
Hardwired, 12v lights (LED tail light)
External condenser, regulator, all wiring tucked up above the engine

Enjoy!
