Re: Post your best CL low-ball offer denial replie
that couch is ridiculous. the offer should be if you pay me 40$ to take it; i'll put it under the bridge for the bums n punx.
c'mon i know there's better ones than this. people get really offended. maybe it is just me... haha i think i might make a few offers just to spice up the thread alittle bit. some more here
=-=
Vintage Batavus Moped $900
(i didn't save the description- crap! but it was a 25mph, non running slightly rusty and missing the covers batavus VA. purple! haha- it's why i even prodded at it, plus it had a styrofoam cooler bungeed to the back)
'a bit much for a non running ped haha, what's wrong with it? just fix it and ride it'
seller: "it needs a new fitting on the gas line"
that ones not harsh but really made me wonder about diagnostic skills...
oh yeah there's this one:
tomas moped $1200
(again i gotta save the descriptions if i get a good reply, but it was a revival, which- in hindsight i'm glad i didn't get, it was a 2006 model (3 years old), 1500 miles- i think i wanted it to race fife on his suzuki GL250 that looks the same)
'i could do $750'
seller: 'I don't negotiate via email. What you're offering is less than half of what we paid brand new last year ($1600). I
am offering a very fair price.'
me: 'hey easy there i was just putting my offer out there for consideration, it's the most i've ever offered for any moped'
seller: 'Sorry if there was any "tone". We get quite a few scammers who emailed with a much lower offer. Let me know if you want to arrange a time to look at it.'
the face to face only dealer! haha- like my offer would change after seeing how beautiful a 3 year old revival is in person... but then somehow, accepting of the offer after i was found to not be a scammer. really not much of a lowball offer there, i guessed that to be what it's worth?
