Dad gets on his bike to fight bug
A FATHER whose son contracted meningitis has been riding a moped the length of the country to raise cash for research into the virus.
Keith Ratcliffe, of Corsham, was one of three riders undertaking the 1,044 mile ride from John O'Groats to Land's End for the Meningitis Trust.
Mr Ratcliffe's son Lee was laid low with meningitis four years ago, when he was 12.
Now Lee is fully recovered and he travelled in the back-up group, supporting his father's epic moped trek. Mr Ratcliffe was joined by Tim Lane from Pewsham and Mick Mills, who serves in the Army at Abingdon.
