I tried it with the 1/2" EMT conduit they sell @ Home Depot. Got the base all nice & stiff,
thought out the hinge part: it has to put the load on the swingarm, sliced up an old junk deep socket & tacked a couple pieces on to the swingarm
Got a big horse bolt from Lowe's, drilled a hole across the toe end for the hitch pin,
Slid the bolt home and pinned it
Only to get no more than 3 houses away before the wheel kept bouncing itself out of the dropouts I made from flattening the edges of the steel tubing
