yeah, degrease first, if there's a layer of grease in the tank, the evaporust can't attach to the particles properly and won't do it's job. i typically degrease, then shake it with a section of chain until my arms are tired as hell, then let the evaporust sit for a few days.

the epoxy liner works well, but can just as much of a problem if you do it incorrectly. Also, things like kreem won't adhere to rust, so if the tanks not clean in the first place, it's not gonna do any good at all.
