Mobylette II pair; worth rescuing?
Another friend of mine has a pair of '79 Mobylette II's he wants to get running. I have offered to help in such capacity as I can; he has even less knowledge about such things than I do.
They have the obligatory rusty tanks, and look to be a real mess, but possibly not unrecoverably so.
Whoa. Those things are crazy. WTF? They have that weirdo french engineering thing going on, but they almost look like a Soviet product. F&in' hell!
I didn't know what I was in for. Drive belt and chain?
People seem to love Mobys. The fixer of his pair looks really cool, and I see why he wants to get it going.
Yeah, Yeah... anything can be fixed if you throw enough money at it.
Is this project worth it for newbs like us?
He will not* sell them, and anyway, it also has a possibly missing title. This pile of Moby has changed hands many times in many years.
