Moped Army

I have a question I'm hoping you guys can answer. I own a Suzuki fa50 and the guy I bought it from told me I needed to mix the gas and the oil together and just pour it in the gas tank, ignoring the oil tank. I did this a few times (I just got it running again today after a very prolonged period of slumber and don't remember the ratio...could someone inform me of this too?) and it seems to run just fine. I was looking around online today and found that I'm just supposed to pour the 2 stroke into the oil tank until it's full and then pour the gas in and it will mix itself. What should I actually do? Also, what should I do about the transmission section? What kind of fluid should I put in? Thanks for the help.
