Finally got a good response from one of the five people I emailed. Here's a cut and paste job. Gonna leave the authors identity off and just inform them of this thread. I'll post any pics he sends, if he does.
i did it on a sachs frame.
was not easy at all.... had to chop the old mounting brackets and fabricate and weld new ones from heavy metal angle iron.
honestly, it was a fun project, but in retrospect i regret doing it... the motor is SO heavy that the brakes are pretty much useless, it is way too fast in high gear to be even remotely safe, and the thing weighs about as much as my car. not exactly sure what kind of cruising at the beach you are talking about, but personally, i would opt for putting an e50 on a magnum frame and calling it a day, or porting the shit out of it, putting a metra 80 and 24 mikuni and gearing it out and making a blaster.
anyhow, long story short... if you don't have access to a good welder, this is probably not a project that you want to tackle. seriously, the motor weighs about as much as three or four e50's, and it's not going to be a bolt-up job.
