Re: how many miles you have on your whip?
Put 7,000 miles on my stock Tomos cylinder with a BiTurbo. Got an Airsal, 15mm Dellorto and a Technigas and put 13,000 more on before I stopped getting new speedo's. That was a year ago. Since then, I haven't been riding so much, so I'd say it's got 5000 more on it, for 25,000 total miles on the bottom end.
I've replaced the rear wheel and need to replace the front one that is cracked and dented.
It's on its third first gear clutch pack, and I'm about to reline the current one. Second 2nd gear clutch. Second crank and crank bearings. The case bearings are original, I just clean them and change oil often. Gaskets and seals are changed as needed.
It blew a hole in the bottom end at the Richmond rally, and poured oil all over the ground at the park. (I then rode it for an hour with no oil. Bearings are still good, just have to reline my clutches) Turns out the claw collar spring broke and the reduction gear threw it out the bottom of my case half. So now I'm going to completely rebuild with new case half's and any new parts that are needed.
I would reset the odometer since I'm replacing major engine parts and wheels, but the frame is still at 25k.
