A whip cracks because it breaks the speed of sound (768mph).
When I first got it, I was so into my whip that I cracked it non-stop for like 45 minutes. So, I totally put like 576 miles on it that day alone. But I got kinda bored with it after that so there is probably a grand total of only 1000 miles or something on it.
