I would LOVE to get Electrobecanes out into the world.
It's the perfect platform for this motor, renowned in the EV world.
I will _totally_ make a copy of this aluminum mount for anyone who's interested. If this takes off, I'm going to be shopping for dead Mobies to open up shop.
But anyone with moderate fabrication skills can do the rest of it. The mount is the hard part - the rest is pretty much assembly.
It's definitely easier than working on an AV7!!
If I can get 5+ orders, I'll have them CNC'd either by mill or water jet.
I'm considering black anodizing, too.
Al - it is fully proportional control via a Magura potentiometer throttle.
There are dozens of controllers you can use with a setup like this, Alltrax, Curtis, Kelly, Sevcon, etc.
A brand new eTek is $575. Controllers start around $300. Batteries ... I'm still working out the costs, but for $500 you can get into good output.
