My Ped saved a dog
I was pedding around aimlessly yesterday and I see this adorable fluffy white and tan mid size dog running through the street. Cars are screaching to stop and honking, the dog just keeps running so I give chase. He has no collar but clearly was someone's dog, probably broke out of his tie out. I followed him for about 15 minutes until I got him herded into a mechanic garage and he jumped into one of the cars there. I ran over and shut the doors just as another woman came running over to try to help. She had a car so I put the dog in there and she brought it to a vet.
When I was following the dog I was yelling to all the cars to stop and they saw me so they didn't hit the dog, I was shielding it the whole time. It's a pretty busy area, Hackensack for those of you in NJ, so it was a miracle the dog was OK. I LOVE dogs so I was really happy I was there to help him. Of course I would have done it for any animal and maybe a human too...
I could never have done this in a car, he was running by train tracks, alleys, etc, it was a wild ride. I am very greatful for my ped.
