I have a problem!!!!

ok so I replaced the Spark plug and I cleaned out the carb on my peugeot, and it started twice, but then when I took it outside to go ride it, it did the same problem, when I pedaled it would almost start, then when I turned the throttle, nothing! what could it possibly be, I mean it did start twice, so that makes this situation more frustrating...:(
