Re: Peter's motobecane engine mounts
this idea is excellent. i am in the process of doing it right now. the swaybar bushings are perfect. the only difference in my method is i didnt remove my old bushings fromthe bike. i instead carved the rubber out with a utility knife. the first one was real dry rotted already so it came out easy (got about 90% out in 5 minutes). i then used the washers that came with the packaged and a screw clamp to force the new bushing into the hole, checking regularly to make sure it was going in evenly. it is in there TIGHT. the second bushing was in better condition, so i cut my hand while tearing out the rubber. that has put an end to my work day cause im bleeding and its cold outside, but i plan to continue tommorow with continued success. so, in conclusion, this idea kicks ass, and can be done w/o taking the bushings off of your bike. just be careful with your knife.
