Andrewhed, you will have no problem "wrapping your head around the carb"... if anything, I think people don't like Gurtners because they're _too_ simple. No mixture adjust, no tickler buttons, none of these float "notches" people talk about, no weird, dangling breather tubes... honestly, it's as basic as a carb gets. The only problem I've had with them is leaks around the jet, but some teflon tape solves that. Oh, and your needle has to be sharp and pointy, of course.

Peter, nicely done... I replaced my worst mounts with some NOS ones not long ago, but I'll keep this in mind next time!
