Mopeds that look like Motorcycles...recommendation
I live in central wisconsin, and my friend and I are looking to buy some mopeds, and soup them up a bit. I don't want them to be excessively dangerous, so if they will be (like risk of cylinder freezing up when going 50 mph)...then I don't want to do it.
But we are looking for some brands of mopeds/models of moped...that are relatively popular, easy to find parts, and have a lot of potential for upgradability.
So far, I have heard that Tomos and Puch Mopeds can be souped (sorry about spelling) up quite a bit, with a 70 cc Big Bore Kit, as well as a BiTurbo Exhaust system.
We live in an area with lots of roads that the posted speed limit is 40 mph...but everyone goes 45-50 mph...so we want to be able to keep pace with traffic.
If you can recomend some mopeds that are able to do this that would be great, as our parents do not want us to have motorcycles...but mopeds are ok (and they don't know we are souping them up).
Also, I would like the mopeds to have a frame similar to this:
I prefer that look to this:
I really like the first...cause it looks sweet like a cycle, second looks kinda not safe to go at higher speeds.
Thanks for any advice/suggestions/comments in advance
