Scott I don't know what I could tell you about mounting the shock or the swingarm for that matter, there's just nothing stock about it. All the parts for mounting this swingarm and shock to the Maxi were welded from scrap metal so really it's just a trail and error process. On mounting it to any other ped I would be equally clueless. :)
I could send you the pictures of how this was done, but I'm not sure if it would help you very much.
