Re: Bad Attitude - Dutch Ratbike (re)build
Hey guys ;)
I see some of you remember the old girl ;) Awesome!
She'd been hiding in the attic for about 15 months when I decided to start a 3rd rebuild. As you can see I added a Pro Link Honda NSR Monoshock swingarm and a bigger tank (as I will need it...) The looks are still pretty much the same still, but they too will change. It'll be a much darker, bigger bike in the end. Lots of scratchy perforated aluminium plating and covers.
I'm aiming at a sort of Mad Max meets the Dark Knight Tumbler kind of look...
The engine too is completely fresh and new (although the old parts were only 30km old and won me 3rd prize at the track...). I'll now be running a 50cc Athena kit with a 21mm Dell'Orto and a custom made Antonie W clutch. I've got a couple of exhausts to choose from and I'm planning on taking the whole lot to a dyno to test and fine-tune the engine.
All and all the aims are these; I'll be racing it again in 2012 and I'm hoping to do well, no illusions, the bike is probably twice as heavy as the competition.
I'm aiming to take it up and over 60mph. Which should be possible, but still quite hard running a 50cc on a bike this heavy...
here are some more pics from the build, enjoy and thanks for your replies!
