Best of both worlds!! Tomos and Puch!!
Ok, its in my personal opionion that the puch E50 tranny is the best tranny going, but the top ends are just tuned down to much. If i rated the best, fastest top end going, i would have to say tomos is the best. I dont like Tomos trannys cause they seem to get problems, but wouldnt it be cool to have a puch with a tomos top end? I've been debating this along time and finally sat down and worked out some bugs.
Make sure to see my Maxi cafe racer... I built that tranny for a beatin! haha! it has a new performance crank, new bearings (all around!), new seals, new gaskets, new (better) clutch, etc... i just need to finish up the stator with new points and condenser. I bought a Polini 64cc kit for it, but decided to drop that A35 top end on it instead. It has a milled head, and if it runs good i might port and polish.
Let me hear what you think. If i can sit down and work on this thing i could have it rolling this week and hopefully take it down to the Circleville races. Oh and by the way, i just didnt give up on the Polini kit, i will put that on my other project puch... so it wont go to waste. But i'm must more excited about a custom job than bolt on performance.
