Moped Army

Hers something alittle different. My friend has an old dirt bike and its got a speedometer and an RPM gauge that works the same way as my speedometer. Its just a small wire that spins from the front tire. I tried it out and both worked only the speedometer worked as like a speedometer not reading the RPM. I know that the rmp gauge feeds into the engine but how could i hook one up. anybody know. If i really did hook it up it would be so dope.
