New Exhaust Problem?

i just threw a Bullet exhaust on my puch and its not starting up.

to be totally honest it may not even be the exhaust. the carb has to elbow on it so the throttle cable is running directly in through the carb top. i took it out to see if the elbow i had from another carb would fit it but it doesnt. i put it back together and it wouldn’t start up. any idea if i just did something stupid or if there is some sort logical explaination for this?
