Eerm, yeah, I’ve got that kit on my maxi, and I wouldn’t really recommend it to anyone.

Would it not start again after it died? Why’d you walk it the 3 miles home?

I’ve generally just been pedaling out from stops and yanking the starter to get it going again after it dies. Works okay, if you don’t mind pedaling.

You could lower the needle to it’s leanest position, that might help a little, and tighten the clutch springs in a bit, but I think this kit just wasn’t meant to be reliable on the low end:(
