The higher speed could be a contributing factor… my best guess would be that the higher speed, which is obviously caused by the engine turning faster, is also causing the magneto to turn faster because it is attached to the engine. This would cause more power to be produced which still has to go through the same fuse, causing it to blow.
PS this is just a guess and I could be very wrong.
PPS Changing the fuse probably isn’t a good idea because the fuse is put in to protect something else the circuit, by putting in a bigger fuse you sere allowing more energy to flow through the wires and you could blow something else down the line.
