What kit comes without a wristpin? Perhaps you should ask whoever sold it to you to contact the manufacturer for one?
you shouldn’t use “or so” sizes. it needs to be the wristpin meant for that piston. otherwise it will be too long to let the clips sit in their grooves, or it will be too short and the wristpin will travel back and forth too much, possibly pushing the clips out into your cylinder, which is a disaster.
