I read your question and immediately went out to my garage where low and behold, I just so happened to have a Minarelli v-1 with a HC head that was off, and a new 70cc HC head for a Puch. I put the two together and…...I don’t think it it will work.
Granted, I did put the 70cc head on a 50cc cylinder, but the engine studs on the v-1 are smaller in diameter, resulting in a lot of jiggle with the Puch head on it. Not to mention, the lip on the v-1 cylinder and the lip on the Puch head didn’t align very well. One other thing I noticed was the dome on the v-1 HC head was more pronounced than that of the Puch 70cc head. That might be a significant performance killer right there.
Welp, that is my analysis. I would just call BJ and see if he has the right head laying around.
