Re: headlight blew. could i replace with a halogen

I made my headlight out of a 25W 12v halogen bulb from IKEA. I used a 2 pin connector from a lamp shop, with an outdoor lampholder from Home Depot. I took out the threaded socket and replaced it with the 2 pin connector. I had to slap a 12v battery on to my bike because it’s only 6v. I hooked up a toggle switch to control it. I couldn’t come up with the perfect installation though. I ended up siliconing it to the existing headlight, together with some stainless steel strap.
