jetting with airfilter

i recently bought a uni highflow airfilter, which is longer, and over all larger, than the normal uni airfilters for the mopeds, i had to fabricate a mounting system to get it to mount up right to the smaller diameter carb. with out doing anything with jetting, it wont run, and only runs with the choke on, but still wont idle, i then swapped the main jett with my friends 58, opposed to my 55, an it ran ok, but sill wouldnt idle, and at medium speeds around 20 mph still ran better when i flicked the choke on…any suggestions on wat jets to use with the filter??...everything else is stock on the bike.
