I just installed the same setup – 50 cc TCCD kit and a high compression head.

I used one base gasket and one head gasket, and it looked like there was enough clearance when I put it together.

When I first cranked the engine to try to start it, however, it sounded like the piston was hitting the head.

I stopped there and plan to take it apart and add another base gasket when I get the chance.

I’m really hoping nothing was damaged in those few cranks . . .
