Sir, you are sadly mistaken. First off, in paintball you use co2 or n2.
Nitrous, under the worst of conditions, will hit 1200psi. Under MOST circumstances will be at between 750 and 900psi. Co2 is at 850 to 950. Nitrogen, which I am assuming is the kind of tank you had in your car, is at 3000 or 4500 psi.
Yes, carrying high pressure anything in your vehicle is dangerous, but it isnt’ illiegal. And using a DOT approved container, and properly securing your bottle makes it fairly safe. I’d be more worried about the 10 gallons of gas in my car than a properly secured nitrogen tank.
