my dad’s been doing a ton of experimenting lately. with his, he notched it, left that same weights, and loved it. got him another 5 mph on top end, and since he used the same weights, no loss on bottom end. he did make adjustable plates that go outside the variator, so he could control how far out the weights can fling.
