NOVI Nuts

Is it absolutley nessesary to need Impact tools to get this nut off my Motobecane magneto? I had a band wrench on the outside of the magneto, and a breaker bar in the Novi nut. I understand it is left hand thread. But all my efforts led to only malforming the inside of the novi nut. What am I supposed to do. I’m soaking it in PB Blaster and I think I’m going to my shop to get the small compressor and and impact gun

Worst comes to worst, how does one get a stripped out novi nut off? Could it be ground off?

Anyone out there have a good pic of the nut off of the magneto?
Preferably from the side view…
