Indian srtipping

I picked up a 1980 Indian last week for 75$, I thought that it might make a good moped for the wife. The more I read about them ( both Indians AND wives) the less I feel like investing time and money into it.
It need new tires,brakes and I’m told that it doesn’t run.
I’m thinking of stripping the mirror,turn signal system, speedo and headlight and putting them on my Foxi and then parting out the rest.
