Honda PA50II troubles.

I just can’t seem to get my PA50 running well. When I bought it it wouldn’t start, but I soon got it running after some fresh gas/oil and a new spark plug. At this point it would run at about 10 mph for twenty minutes and then bog down and die. I could restart it but only with the choke on. After this I thoroughly cleaned the carb and installed an inline fuel filter and also put in a freshly cleaned and oiled stock foam air cleaner. It ran amazing after this, accelerating well and reaching 30+ mph. After two days of great performance, it suddenly started bogging and died. I got it home and cleaned the carb (which didn’t seem dirty at all) and checked my fuel lines and petcock (which were clear and flowed). I checked the compression with the old “thumb in the hole” method and it seemed to have decent compression. I then started it and it ran good for about ten minutes but then died again. I now can’t get it started. My next step is to clean the exhaust on the old BBQ. I’m not sure this will solve the issue, but it needs to be done anyway. A few people have mentioned jet sizes as a possibly culprit. Some say I need to go one size down, and others say one size up. Does anyone know what could be the problem here? I’m not the most mechanically inclined person, so there’s a lot I may be overlooking. Any help would be amazing as this is starting to drive me nuts.
Thanx!
Timo
