Ring gapping measurements??

So I did a search and found no info on what the minimum or maximum piston ring gap for my 1983 Suzuki FA50. I went to a local scooter place and one of their manuals said a 60cc suzuki dirt bike around the same year should have a gap of no less than 0.006mm and no more than 0.012mm. What gap clearance would you say I should run? Whats the norm for mopeds? Thanks in advance.
