Hey man,
Im Steve. Hit me with an email if you’d like me to help you out. I can either walk you through some stuff via the internets, or you can bring it down here and I can do some wrenching on it for ya. Not that im water in the desert, but you’re probably not gonna find many other shops that will repair peds.

Dan’s a hip cat and he’ll help you out as well. My rates are low, but i cant really beat sandwiches.

Anyways, I highly doubt its “missing” the clutch. Itd be pretty apparent if that was the case… the engine would probably be dismantled. If you take some pics or can be a little more descriptive of the symptoms, you could probably be walked through it here.
