Have you adjusted the idle screw to see if that makes any difference?



I don’t know what to tell you about the lack of power situation other than get everything put back together, filtered, cleaned, lubed, etc., then let the moped warm up a couple of minutes, then see if it still doesn’t have the power you want. Get the fuel filter, check the transmission fluid, get some new carb gaskets, make sure you don’t have any air leaks, get a fresh spark plug (just buy like 3 or 4—it’s good to have extras), and make sure your air filter is clean. I don’t know much about the Maxi air boxes, but (I shouldn’t say this because I really have no idea) I think some of them might come apart for cleaning and some of them don’t. Perhaps someone who actually knows what they’re talking about can shed some light on this situation, but if you’ve got an extra air box from your second ped, swap it out and see if that helps.
