'79 Motobecane throttle keeps sticking

As the subject implied, I’ve got a ‘79 Motobecane Mobylette. My throttle keeps sticking, I’ve worked tons of invisalube into the cable and that seems to work temporarily but after about an hour of riding it starts sticking again.

Do I need to replace the throttle cable or is it something I can take apart and clean? (please keep in mind I’m very new to this whole moped thing)
