Hey,
Erin, I took your advice and got some new gas, up’d the ratio a bit (now I’m more like 44:1). I’d buy a new sparkplug but the auto store was closed by the time I got there.
But guess what! It worked! It made lots of noise (cause I’m running without a muffler thanks to some other advice) and it actually brought me up hill!
WOOHOO! Finally a moped that can actually move me. The power still needs a lot of work, it struggles uphill. But it moves. So its a step in the right direction.
And of course, there is a new problem. It won’t hold idle. Why do you think that is?
Here’s what I’m doing next. I’m cleaning the exhaust hardcore, cleaning the exhaust hole in the head thoroughly, and BBQ’ing the muffler.
I’m going to buy a new spark plug (and a fuel filter!)
But why doesn’t it hold idle? And why aren’t I seeing more power?
Thanks
