I’ve had no problem with my oil pump in 10,000 miles but mine is a 2001 A35 engine, and I hear the new A55 engine may develop an oil pump problem around 500 miles. I would not disconnect the pump though, Id have a machine shop make a new connector and discard the rubber one Tomos is said to to be using.
Even though your gearbox oil is red (if you’re using the right kind of recommended Tranny fluid) that oil will almost certainly look black on the ground. Your leak is probably from your gearbox .. try tightening the nut at the bottom of the box but DON’T OVERTIGHTEN as they strip relatively easy. The leak could also be from your fill level screw on the right side of the gearbox .. a large, shiny screw (on my bike anyway). Perhaps your gearbox gasket is leaking? Try tightening the allen key screws.
