it can possibly be your point gap. if your points are barely opening, you will still get spark, but the engine will act like the timing has been severly retarded.
does the engine rev high, but go nowhere? it could be your clutch.
does the engine not rev at all, but picks up if you pedal along with it? that might indicate that you don’t have oil/atf in the clutch.
does it just kind of die when you throttle it on the ground? that could indicate that you’re running lean.
what kind of bike?
